Lifts: equipment at $3,000 to $10,000 for a two-post lift and $5,000 to $25,000 for a four-post lift (Tekmetric, 2025: https://www.tekmetric.com/post/how-much-does-a-car-lift-cost-installation-prices). Installation at $900 to $1,800 for a two-post lift and $700 to $1,200 for a four-post lift (Elite Garage Tools, 2026: https://www.elitegaragetools.com/blogs/news/car-lift-installation-cost-what-youll-actually-pay-in-2026). Tekmetric prices are for repair shops, so a home lift can sit at the low end. New concrete pads and a panel upgrade are not included.

Cabinets: $2,500 to $10,000 for a three-car garage (Angi, How Much Do Garage Cabinets Cost, 2026).

Climate: a garage mini-split at $2,000 to $9,200 (Angi, 2026) and an installed whole-house dehumidifier at $1,300 to $2,800 (Angi, 2026).

## Questions

### How much does it cost to fit out a collector garage?

It depends on the upgrades. With one four-post lift, an epoxy floor on 750 sq ft and a dehumidifier, the published US ranges add up to about $8,900 to $38,800 before the building itself.

### Why is the range so wide?

Each upgrade has a wide published range. A basic epoxy coat and a premium multi-coat system are both called epoxy. A home parking lift and a heavy shop lift are both four-post lifts. Written quotes narrow the range.

### Does this include the garage building?
